PROJECTS LISTING

 

 All these projects involve school links within the UK and with other countries. Projects can be prefaced by or incorporate classwork on British multicultural identities, diaspora groups, migrant communities and diversity.

 

  • Schools prepare and showcase their work on identity and diversity with schools from the UK and other countries. Free
  • UK Primaries work with Pakistan primaries to explore identity and diversity, shared cultural history Free
  • UK Primaries work with India on community languages (letters and numbers), festivals and places of worship, family life and shared cultural history. Charges apply to sign up students to participate online
  • Secondaries work with India on shared histories, stereotypes in Britain and India, Bollywood culture, racism, British identity and Indian identity. Free
     
  • Me Myself You (secondaries only) – schools in the UK and around the world. Charges apply to sign up students to participate online

Projects with funding (UK only)

  • Schools work with Eastern European countries focusing on identities across the UK and Europe, economic migration, racism, ethnic cleansing and human trafficking, and seeking themes of commonality.
  • Schools work with India, Bangladesh or Pakistan focusing on identities across the UK and in the Indian sub-continent, global citizenship and shared cultural history.
  • Schools work with Trinidad, Nigeria or Ghana focusing on identities across the UK and in Africa and the Caribbean, global citizenship and shared cultural history

  Global Gateway project partners
  • The International Education and Resource Network (iEARN) supports schools to work together with UK-based and international partners on themes of diversity and identity. Free)
  • eTwinning offers project toolkits and online collaborative tools for work with schools in the UK and Europe on any theme relating to UK and European citizenship. Free
  • There are educational social networking sites that can be used for class-to-class contacts in different parts of the UK and the world, with a view to setting up projects for exploring diversity in the UK and globally. Charges apply
