Find Comenius partners
A Comenius journey starts with
partner-finding. Even schools in existing European partnerships may
decide to add new partners for a new Comenius application.
eTwinning
The eTwinning website hosts a forum for teachers looking for
eTwinning partners - project based European partnerships between
two schools. It's a popular programme in the UK because there are
project templates and good support available.
eTwinning is a good route into Comenius - suitable for initial
projects before you decide to apply for Comenius funding, and a
very useful project space to help run your project. Note that if
you find your Comenius partners on eTwinning, you will have funding
available to arrange a Preparatory Visit to meet your partner
schools.
Contact seminar
All the national agencies run seminars across Europe which are
intended as partner-finding events. These are fun to attend, but if
you go to them you may not be able to fund an additional project
planning trip in the same year. Funding is available to cover your
travel and themes of the seminars offered range from story
telling to MFL, maths and inclusion.
