Preparatory visits
As soon as you have established a potential partner or partners for your Comenius Partnership, you can apply for funding to visit them.

Visits usually last three or four days and must involve teachers from all the participating schools.

This is a great opportunity for planning and a chance to work together on your application.

A preparatory visit helps you to:
These visits take place before the application is submitted and so you apply separately. You will need to submit your preparatory visit application six weeks before your planned visit.

The preparatory visit must take place at the institution of one of the participating countries, who acts as the host for planning and discussing their partnership topic. It cannot be held in a conference centre in that host country.

If you have already attended a contact seminar, Comenius will not fund a preparatory visit in that year.
